🖋️ Associate Designer (Part-Time or Freelance)

Location: Remote (NYC preferred)
Type: Part-Time or Project-Based
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Overview
We're looking for a detail-driven, imaginative Associate Designer to support the creation of upcoming bag collections, packaging concepts, and visual storytelling. You’ll help shape the next chapter of The D’Ari Collection through creative collaboration and design execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of handbags and accessories

  • Create concept sketches, mood boards, and technical mockups

  • Support sampling and vendor communication

  • Contribute to visual elements like typography, packaging, or hardware

  • Maintain brand cohesion while bringing fresh design perspectives

Qualifications

  • Background in fashion, industrial, or graphic design

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma

  • Strong visual taste and familiarity with architectural or art historical references

  • Reliable, communicative, and self-directed

  • Portfolio required

Bonus if you:

  • Have experience with leather goods or handbag construction

  • Know 3D prototyping tools or AI-assisted workflows

  • Are fluent in Italian manufacturing or supply chain communication

Overview
This is a rare opportunity to learn the inner workings of a fast-growing design-led brand. As a Design Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in product development, creative direction, and brand strategy. Ideal for students or recent grads passionate about storytelling through design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sketches, inspiration sourcing, and product layout

  • Help prepare visual presentations and mood boards

  • Provide creative input on branding and collection naming

  • Shadow creative meetings and support project organization

  • Contribute ideas that reflect thoughtful attention to aesthetic and detail

Qualifications

  • Interest in fashion, architecture, art history, or visual design

  • Familiarity with Canva, Google Suite, or Adobe programs

  • Enthusiastic, curious, and collaborative

  • Strong eye for detail and emotional storytelling
